So many ICOs right now. This is one is alright but there are better ones out there. The problem is, I don't think adds will pay for the cost and I don't think it can compete with national providers as internet costs are already super cheap in Europe and Asia. Most people don't need internet in random places and already have data packages except for tourists and the odd wanderer. Id rather use wifi at a MacDonald's of coffee shop personally. This token will likely be cheaper after the ICO finishes as they have a long road to profitability and it really isn't a necessary project. But good luck with making the world a better place, I just wouldn't invest my hard earned coins in this one unless I can get a charity tax write-off. For that look into the Stellar foundation, they already have large doners like google.
Thanks for such a detailed comment! We'd also like to add that World Wi-Fi project is built on two existing profitable businesses: AdRenta and Radius Wi-Fi. It means that it's not a common start-up but a well thought and scalable business.
Yeah...I can see that it will take some time to build the network, however I can't see what the harm would be to have an account "ready" for someone to use even if I'm not in a great location where it could be used. Proving that it can be useful in certain areas and tweaking their marketing to target those areas will take time. Nevertheless it's an idea that could work with the right partnerships and assistance.
