i am starting by collating every plastic and glass bottles in my apartment and the waste bin, to bag the all and send to the Coca-Cola company nearest to me in Ikeja Lagos State Nigeria!

Wonderful idea. By showing people and enlightening them on how all these affect us in the long run. An'it begins with me initiative' could be adopted. Just like you've discovered it and have learnt the better way to go about handling waste, changing your disposal means would trigger a possibility of change in others around you too.
