RE: Is your job a walk in the park?
howdy there @dollarsandsense! this was a great post and SO many of us can relate to it! too many.. just like the Gallup pole talked about.
What drives me crazy is hearing those people who knew from 5 yrs old what they wanted to do in life and had a burning passion for it..and now they're doing it!
I'm happy for them but I've been looking most of my life for a fulfilling career. Now I'm at retirement age and still looking! so I can relate and hope that you find that career which gives you complete fulfilment WAY before you reach my age.
I just think that you have to constantly be looking for something else while you're in your current job and keep searching out what your true desires are..and hope they involve working!
Thanks @janton! I do feel like more people can relate to it than not. Although reading some some of the "oozing with positivity/follow your dreams" style posts on here sometimes leads me to think I'm in the minority. I guess if you're not following your dreams, you tend not to write about that, hah!
Thanks for the feedback - I hope I find some fulfillment too but it is good to know I'm not alone and that you can have a well lived life even without a career you were passionate about.
howdy @dollarsandsense..sorry it took so long to get back with you, had lots going on today and got so far behind on answering comments.
No I don't write about my dream career..still looking for it.
and yes I agree you can have a great life without having a career which you are passionate about but I think you'll find yours.
I'd never stop looking that's for sure.
