The Power of your mind

The bible says "as a man thinketh so is he." I used to think that this verse was for religious benefit. I used to think it only applied to church services and youth groups. Over the last few months i have realised that this verse holds the key to how we live life. That verse in the bible reveals to us the Law of Attraction. The law of attraction is the belief that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts a person brings positive or negative experiences into their life. The belief is based on the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from "pure energy", and that through the process of "like energy attracting like energy" a person can improve their own health, wealth and relationships. A key component of the philosophy is that in order to effectively change one's negative thinking patterns, one must also believe that the desired changes have already occurred. This combination of positive thought and positive emotion is believed to allow one to "attract" positive experiences and opportunities.

What you think is what you become, your life is the expression of your self talk. What do you say to yourself, what is your view of you? The greatest enemy we face on our path to sucess is ourselves.

If you can't control your mind then you already have lost life's battle. Your mind is the key to the tree of success. For example Will Smith says his positive thinking has helped him achieve happiness. He always quotes Confucius's motivating motto, as way of explaining his blockbuster success: "He who who says he can and he who says he can’t are both usually right."

In the early 1990s, Jim Carrey was an unknown actor struggling to get by. To stay motivated, he decided to write himself a check for $10 million for “acting services rendered,” dated it for 1994, and carried it in his wallet for daily inspiration. In 1994, Carrey learned he would reap exactly $10 million for his role in Dumb and Dumber. Today, Carrey is one of America’s top movie stars

You see the above examples are not of bible saints who lived extraordinary lives noo. These are everyday folk just like you and me who decided to break the mould and dared to believe in themselves. It is easy to say I will be rich but the real challenge is convincing your subconscious mind to accept the fact that you are a success. Your subconscious mind is the one that remembers those words that abusive partner said to you, your subconscious mind knows how broken and messed up you are. When you say I can make it your subconscious mind is the one that says " Smart people make it in life but you flunked high school." It takes effort and alot of tenacity to reprogram the mind to accept that you can and will succeed. In the next article we shall talk about how to reprogram your mind.
