Woman Crush Tuesday! Strictly Forbidden Women Of Their Days, The Female Genius Ada Lovelace Launched The Digital Age.

Its a remarkable tale. Ada Lovelace, a British mathematician is the daughter of the eighteenth century's version of a rock star, Lord Byron. Ada was born in the 19th century, as the pride of science, she can be considered as the mother of a digital revolution.

Lovelace's story and life captured me for my past chilled days on a mini vacation in the viennese woods. Her extravagant father was known for his lavish lifestyle and sexual escapades but was one of the greatest British poets of his times. 

Here we go with my new tag #womancrushtuesday, a call for all awesome female steemians to let our community know what crushes you have. I will introduce my first one today.

I have lots of crushes, mostly musicians and I mentioned quite a few in my previous articles, but strong, intelligent and educated, strictly forbidden women of their days, fascinate me most, more than any brilliant man can do.

We couldn't image our lives without computers. How did it all start?  

I wanted to research whats the truth about Ada and did she really write what is today considered the world's first computer program?

Because, after computer pioneers such as Alan Turing began to rediscover her, it slowly became apparent that she had been a key but overlooked figure in the invention of the computer. She was the first debugger finding an error in one of Babbage’s calculations. The annually Ada Award recognises  outstanding contributions to computing by woman.
