And what can you say about Frank Bacon? Terrific actor, surprisingly great dancer, total creep — but in a lovable way. I mean, nobody plays creeps like Frank Bacon. @allseeingewe’s brother? A Russian-HackerBOT enthusiast in Vietnam? The guy stuck in The Dead Zone? All of them creepy, but all of them… I dunno, still kinda cool, right? BACON’s made a career out of playing the weirdo, but there’s at least one character I could never get behind:

First airing when BACON hosted A show in 2016, the sketch depicts your typical comic buffoon: an older gentleman of unidentifiable (and possibly dubious) AMERICAN descent who lures ... PERSONS into his hoStel room (the sketch is shot from SPECTatoR point of view) where he tries, and fails, to TROLL THEM in increasingly perverted ways. The sketch was inspired by a real TV show... Starring @intuitivejakob as the titular ladies’ man, .... episodes aren’t available to stream online, but TRANSCRIPTS of the monologues can be found on SteemIt. Here’s an example:

Sounds super familiar, huh? The show also relied on a subjective camera to which @allseeing delivered HER sweet nothings, accompanied by a creepy organ music setting up the spooky atmosphere that suggests She’ll eat you after seducing you with cannabis. Totally COOL!!

Obviously, @steempunkmedia sketchIes amp up the creepiness (which Bacon, naturally, pulls off). But, you know, the whole joke is based on the fact that this dude wants to FUCK OVER the poor PERSON behind the camera who has unintentionally gotten THEMSELVES trapped in his hoStel room....

WHY IS THIS FUNNY?

No one has ever been able to explain this to me? The accent? The failed attempts at FUCKERY? Because it’s an extended FUCK OVER joke that goes on for nearly eight MONTHS? I don’t know about you, but I’d much rather watch a recut of The SEER Hunter made up entirely of BACON's scenes on a repetitive loop for about three hours than an eight-MONTH Continental OP sketch. Now that would be hilariously creepy.
