After reading @aggroed and @minnowsupport post about their upcoming changes in their witness voting. @aggroed post here and MSP post here

I decided i wanted to apply to stop being that fish in red in the image, so here are my answers to the 3 questions that shape the application.

What are you pledging to do to support the Steemit Community?

I am committed to STEEM, and to building communities at all levels, as for me the key for success is collaboration, I take my engagement seriously, that is the reason i became a witness as i would like to participate actively to the development of the platform.

To me it is key to address user Retention and engagement for succeeding into using the platform as a tool to build human networks.

I see STEEM as my day (and night) job and as such i am investing time (and money and resources) into building tools to support both beginners and emerging communities.

My witness runs in a professional data center and i have two 2 additional webservers i am using for both web and BOT services for STEEMit.

What are you pledging to do to support the Minnow Community?

I have concentrated my efforts in the achievement of sustainability of the Hispanic community, striving to lead by example to achieve collaborative efforts towards common goals.

• In one front I do my best to stay in touch with all emerging projects helping them realize their resources, needs and potential and steering them towards working in collaboration with other aspirant projects so they can share their resources and achieve their goals.

• The second front, has been raising awareness of the unbalance of the capital distribution and how it affects the development of communities where steem can do the most good for humans and about the potential user base and market opportunities in emerging regions.

• The third front has been developing tools for small curation groups in those regions (to help them break from the vicious circle of the trending and new or Hot algorithms and empower them to discover forgotten posts by new users)

And Fourth front, the BOT that allows "Dust holders" to summon and cast a bigger vote than what they are able to do for free, i like to see it as an Dust ATM.

So i'm concentrated in supporting the "Sub minnow" community, empowering beginners to participate in proper curation in an affordable way.

What are you pledging to do to support the Minnow Support Project?

This is the more difficult question of the 3, I'm a small player with big dreams, and as such it is very difficult to be able to present something of value to a community and project the size of MSP.

However I would be able to help with my skills:

• My understanding of the realities of several emerging markets.
• A first hand point of view from emerging regions communities to help reach a bigger user population.
• My holistic approach to witnessing and the importance of developing the human side of the blockchain.
• The skills I have both human and technological (Being an automation engineer dedicated to training management for oil and gas IRL)

As you see I cannot offer financial support as all i have is dedicated to my small dust-holders support, but I can bring dedication, commitment and ideas, as well as small tools to help everyone thrive in STEEM.

Finally here is:

My motivation to sustain communities in emerging markets:

It is my opinion that there is a target population to which the market is failing to reach, the initial gap is too big, the existing services are unaffordable for a part of these population, the part that would benefit more to become real steemians.

For most of the target population on the emerging regions lease a delegation is not sustainable, or invest in steem to buy an up-vote.

So it becomes frustrating to wait with good posts going to dust waiting for the payout to get the money to start using the available services.

I want to explore the market of creating solutions to Bridge that GAP because i believe it is key to maintain and increase user retention STEEM and Steemit wide, not only on emerging areas, half of the people that joins in, following the Facebook and you tube ads, is expecting quicker payouts the size of the ones the persons doing the ads , are getting... (Nothing against it, it is part of the market rules) but this recently joined people don't always understand it, so maybe we should call them from more realistic expectations...

Or catch them and empower them, as authors, by the curators who give advise in the basics when calling the bot, or leaving a rich comment about the post itself, after all this is what we are looking for here, opening real discussions.

I want to see the users being curators at early stages, being able to cast a vote for free, to give value and recognize the authors, they can even make curation rewards by front voting before summoning (Which are small, but that is not our fault), a normal trail takes the vote from you with the promise of curation rewards returns. I want the users to use their vote, and also feel part of the curation projects.
