Well put. Not sure about the last part of the act though. Might still be another image. Like @johndoer123 I quit caring so much a long time ago. When the Sun thing started kicking off I resigned myself to the fact that I may loose all the money I'd put in.

No matter what, it's been a fun, interesting, frustrating experience and I'm grateful for that and all the great people I've met on the way.

This just reinforces the conclusion I came to after a few weeks here and that is that humans, in general, simply aren't mature enough to manage decentralisation yet. Sounds nice but I don't think it's possible, or maybe even desirable, yet.

That's not to say it's not worth giving it a go. We have to start somewhere and Steem was/is? a great start.

Hey Gillian! Always nice to see you :)

I completely agree with your statement here. I have been blessed to experience it all is how I look at it.

And I hope you don't lose all your money you put in, frankly I don't think that will be the outcome (but of course I know nothing more than anyone else). I think there will be a resolution that is in the interests of the people with the money invested, and that includes people from both sides of the isle. So while it might seem like hope is lost, I still have hope that it all works out ;)

Good to see you again and see you out in splinterlands either way!

It's been good in one respect--this is the most a big group of witnesses has listened to non-witnesses on the state of steemit. Sort of, they are hearing words, which is a start. The walled barrier whenever non-witness speaks is still definitely there though. We are at the mercy of what to the top witnesses can come up with and them agreeing on it. That is why the upside is garbage-and why steem was 13 cents til Justin Sun's name was linked. Would be 1-5 cents right now if that didn't happen or someone else didn't come in to do the same thing. I was actually hopeful initially when I first heard Sun's name come out because I thought a chance arose to open some things up a little bit.

WOW. This is so brilliant. Love it. To me, it sums up how Steem was/is at the moment. 👍 😊

Thank you very much @quotes-haven! That is a very nice compliment :)

We are a forgiving bunch short term wise, I think once the witness system is fixed, if fixed in a proper manner, (ie: Not knocked down to three only, like I heard mentioned), then the current witnesses will see what they have truly done. There was wrong done, hopefully they can fix their wrongs, and hopefully the fixing of it will not give them a free pass from the smaller accounts later on.

I am with you on having hope. I do think there is hope, and like you said we will evaluate what the fix brings as to where or not it is acceptable or not! Thanks again for giving your insight :)

You're right on with this one....They are like so many others...only protecting a pocket book. And not concerned about any one else. But look who NEEDS the community now. Truthfully, i quite giving a shit much. For all i care, Justin can have it....how much worse could it possibly get...
I mean one person control vs. a couple or a few....what's the difference.
I do hope we retain the chain, and if so hopefully the community we remember where our current witnesses got us in the last month(s).
I don't care about coin value...but i would like to see actual development and marketing....which we haven't had much of lately.

Yep JD, we agree. As usual, great minds think alike!

Steem chiller has a similar point of view. And so of course, it's not popular as well I think.
