Steem v0.19.1 RC1 is out
The latest update of Steem v0.19.1 RC1 that solves many of the issues with bandwidth and many other things.
The update has been out for 24+ hours now and should be applied quickly.
14 out of 20 main witnesses updated in 24 hours
Main witnesses are responsible of maintaining the blockchain and creates one new block every three second. They ensure that the page is running smoothly and should be sure to apply released uppdates as they come out.

There are in total 72 active witnesses on the Top 100 voted list. Out of these are 41 witnesses not yet running the latest release.
Running an updated version is important to ensure stability and security of the network.

I think your post is outdated
PS I was updated personally yesterday. And my seednode had priority over my witness node since it was more important in my opinion(considering my witness position).

The post was compiled last night (for me) and about 24 hrs after the release. It mist likely isn't going to be accurate long. It may have been just before blocks was with the new version.
What i wanted to do was to shed some light on the issue of slow to respond witnesses. I don't count you as one, it takes time to update I know. Anything within 48 hours is good I think.
Some may chose not to update, but should give a statement on the reason.

Either they're not paying attention to the witness channel and not aware of the update, in the process of updating, or chose not to update because it's a release candidate!
The resync does take some time, yes. I'm just pinging them to wake them up 😀
A minor witness, 50-100, can take some time to update or even refresh in the witness list. Many of them work normal hours, as blueorgy, and can't be around 24/7 understandable. But the main witnesses has a responsibility. And if they chose not to update they should state why. Just my opinion.
I think it's just as important to get this update out even though it's"just" a release candidate. Mainly due to the bandwidth issues being solved and also due to the fact that the devs recommended all to update to this version.
Any witness over 25 that hasn't updated in 48 hrs loses my vote.

Notice that there are still 2 main witnesses that didn't update so far. Also only 9 out of the witnesses from 21-50 have updated so far.
too bad we don't have a proper page with more witnesses. I not those are the main 100 but we are +15000 witnesses.
