Like to see more detail on how inflation raised to 10% increase distribution? Inflating payouts would simply give more to those gaming the system, proportionally. Like to see the math on how raising inflation to 10% changes anything.
Intrigued by @aggroed 's up vote, down vote, flag system. 100% agree there can be no centralized authority or the whole uniqueness of the site goes in the toilet. Also agree there needs to be a system where downvotes can eliminate bad content, without fear of retribution. Let's put more heads together on that one, but gotta admit we're just a tad disappointed that not even the witnesses have a perfect answer to solve these problems. We don't either yet, but we'll let you know when/if the lightbulb goes off.

If we can figure out how to vote, we're going to toss in a few for him. Whether he has the answers or not, what we like is that at LEAST he's identified the QUESTIONS. Knowing the right question is important.
Yeah, inflation is an interesting topic here, steem is one of the coins that produces coins daily and gives them out tho the users. Without some sort of inflation I am not sure how the reward pool would work.
The flagging system is a unique problem. Flagging spam and bad content is necessary I think, but If the bad content is being produced by whales, you flag is not going to do much. I don't think there is a perfect solution to this, but we do need to brainstorm to come up with a compromise.
