We finally had some downtime this week and unfortunately a few blocks were missed.

The server rebooted due to some event at the datacenter; originally thought it was weather-related but now they're saying it's hardware replacement they never notified us about.

The failover script that was attached to the notification from the monitoring script was never initialized as programmed due to the monitoring script it self not triggering it.

A new monitoring script written by ourselves is being finalized and put into use. It will preemptively take action upon any server irregularity. So far, all monitoring scripts wait until a block is missed. This one will act before a miss occurs.

Thankfully, the beauty of the STEEM blockchain is in the fact that when one witness misses blocks, others are on hand to process them.

SteemSilverGold

The daily post highlighter is currently disabled due to SteemData being significantly behind and unusable. We are actively working on providing a permanent solution for this but currently there is no set timetable as what a solution involves is likely mirroring the current service. I will keep you updated as progress is made.

Veterans Project

Same as SSG, the highlighter is disabled in the same way. Our fellow vet @inthenow has been manually compiling the posts and sharing them from his account. Hoping to have all of this resolved soon. Remember that all community bots are still running as normal in relation to both for curation purposes.

Anti-Abuse Projects

Our previous anti-abuse projects, involving dealing with the introduceyourself tag spammers, creating scrapers, running queries and so forth are now ending. Instead, all of these efforts will be directly donated to @steemcleaners. If you saw our previous update the other day, 'Patriot' from our team is now a @steemcleaners member and will be supporting that exceptional project. Unification of efforts is always better than fragmentation.
