Witness voting in 3 easy steps!
One of the reasons I became a witness was to make the witness debate accessible to the general users of steemit, after all we are all part of the community and you should also participate in future of this great platform.
There is an important change coming on the 4th of July and it occurred to me that sometimes we (the crypto geeks) assume that most people know what we are talking about when we talk about witness voting, software upgrades, etc.
This is why I decided to make a simple 3 step guide on witness voting:
Step 1
Go to steemd.com and choose your witnesses based on the software they are running, remember that:
0.8.2: Retroactive changes to curation rewards.
0.8.3/0.8.4: non-retroactive changes to curation rewards.
Step 2:
Go to the witness menu on your steemit account and click on the witness you would like to vote on.
Step 3:
If you haven’t done so already, you will be asked to log in with your owner or active key
You can find your keys on the “permissions” tab.
And that is pretty much it.
Happy voting!

Due to a bug, voting could be not too easy at this time, especially for those who want to disapprove someone then approve someone. You may probably encounter "voting for too many witnesses" issue. In this case, you need to set a voting proxy with cli_wallet, then clear the proxy, then vote for your desired witnesses.
note: if you have a cli_wallet you can also vote by typing the command:
But you probably already knew that ;)
You can append this note to the end of the post by editing.
I understand the windows miner\cli builds that were available are broken after the upgrades on the 30th.
Is there a windows build of the current miner\cli available that will work for voting too?
