Node Upgrade

I have upgraded my node to v0.16.0 in anticipation of Tuesday's hard fork. I had to upgrade my AWS instance to a much higher type in order to make it through a full resync of the blockchain. At some point during my first few attempts, everything slowed to a crawl or stalled. It was likely due to i/o thrashing from relying on swap, or cpu throttling from Amazon. In any event, I was able to power through it by upgrading to a high powered instance. I've since downgraded again in order to keep my costs under control (I have been running my node at a loss). The downgraded instance appears to be up to the task of running the node once the blockchain was synced.

Robin Hood Whale

I'm very excited for Robin Hood Whale to relaunch tomorrow. We have taken on a handful of new curators and re-invented RHW with a new collective vision. Focusing more on tags and content categories will help the platform grow by nurturing the growth of communities around subjects and content types that have been missing or overlooked.
