Witness Update Report #21

Happy almost weekend to all you amazing Steemians, just a short little update from our side. Our server is running smooth as it should be producing blocks with no issues since the last update. We are still sitting firmly at number 52 on on the witness list, with a total of 1,799 votes worth 15,035 MV.

We just wanted to give a big shoutout to @shadowspub for hosting the Witness Chat which took place on August 18th, on the Steemit Ramble discord server. It's really good to have a place to chat with other witnesses, and discuss the current topics making the rounds.

We would especially like to extend our thanks to @lukestokes and @timcliff for their in depth knowledge and great explanations of a lot of the technical aspects regarding HF20, coming in September. Thanks guys!

ADSactly Steemit Help - Communities

Being a new user on the Steemit platform can be an overwhelming experience. Steemit is a wide-spanning platform with a lot of content. It can be difficult at first to find your way and get accustomed to how things work. Many new users ask how they can find good content that they are interested in and how they can build a following for their own content. One of the easiest ways to meet people and find great content that you are interested in is COMMUNITIES.

There are hundreds of communities on the Steemit platform. Communities are groups of people who share common interests or goals. For example, you might be interested in education and want to meet people who also share that interest. If that is the case then @steemiteducation would be a great community for you to get involved in. You might join @steemitbloggers or @steemstem. The list is endless. @adsactly has a large and thriving community and is a great way to meet new people from all over the world and from all different backgrounds.

Not only are communities a great way to meet new people and find content, they are also a great way to gain support for your blog. The people you meet in these communities are likely to look at your content and even upvote your posts. This relationship building is a key component to having early success on Steemit. As you already know, it is not easy to get your posts recognized. Many of these communities are looking for specific content and are supporting members of the community from a larger Steemit account. This could be another way to gain some exposure to your posts and to get some extra upvotes.

Many of these communities have a discord channel where people chat and share ideas and generally get to know each other. This can be a lot of fun and very helpful with relationship building. Don’t just join communities and hope that you will get votes. The purpose is to become part of the community and that requires some active engagement with other members. The more active you are and the more you talk to others, the more likely people are to support you as well. Join as many different communities as you can. The more engagement you have, the better. Kickstart your Steemit growth with a group of people you can support and grow with.

We welcome you to join the society, meet and talk to people, make friends and establish relations with other ADSactly members. You will receive ADSactly community units just for showing up and taking part in our voice hangouts, for helping out with promotions, for helping new members feel welcomed, showing them around and helping them get familiar with the society, for finding new projects that might catch interest of other members. Sometimes even for being generally a good person willing to help others.
