Witness Update Report #13

Another week has past and it's the weekend yet again, where we bring you, the Steemit community, our short little weekly update of just some of the exciting things that has been happening in the world of our ADSactly Witness. Which has been very uneventful, which is exactly how you want things to be going when it comes to witness servers. Everything has been smooth sailing, no blocks have been missed, price feed is stable, and the only bad news is that most of the markets are still very much in the red.

Some great news for any of the witness who are not in the top 50. It looks like head coder Michael Vandeberg of Steemit Inc, has approved a change to increase the limit from 50 to 100 witnesses on the witness voting page. This is all thanks to @roadscape for submitting the code change, unfortunately no idea as to when this will go live.

How Do Steemit Rewards Work?

Every day, a fixed amount of STEEM tokens are allocated to the reward pool. These are then distributed to authors and curators for posting and voting on content.

The Economics

• STEEM: Is the currency token in the platform similar to Bitcoin.
• STEEM DOLLARS: Also Known as SBD is a stable-value currency tokens designed to be pegged to $1 USD. Which was designed for commerce or exchange between accounts.
• STEEM POWER: Known as SP, is the the STEEM you lock into your account which gives you more influence when voting on posts and comments. This is less liquid and takes 13 weeks you unlock.

You will get rewards every time you upvote someone, create a post or comment on a post. After seven days, the reward is then distributed as follow:
75% goes to the author, and 25% goes to the curators. A curator is someone that upvote your post or comment.

Choose your Post Rewards wisely.
When you create a new post, you can choose between 3 options as a reward:

• 50%/50% - This option will get you both SP and SBD, it's advantageous if you want to exchange SBD on the internal or an external market or send some of them to some friends.
• Power Up 100% - This option will reward you only is SP. If you are not looking for short term benefits and want to leverage your upvoting power, this option can be your option.
• Decline - This option allows you to decline any rewards.

ADSactly

It has been another very active week in ADSactly. Membership is nearing 6000 people on discord and the hangouts continue to grow in numbers. So many new members are commenting on how they wish they would have found their way to ADSactly sooner. Many new relationships are being forged and the growth potential of the community id increasing everyday. More and more knowledge about cryptocurrencies and sharing ideas is being spread throughout the membership and people are showing lots of interest. The ADSactly website is still in development and will be a thing of beauty once it is released. Followers on Steemit has recently eclipsed 30,000 people and support for ADSactly posts and writers is higher than ever. It is exciting to see more and more people starting to engage with the ADSactly community and bring their ideas and talents to the table.

There is something to be said about feeling important and heard from the moment you arrive in a new place. That is the feeling that people are getting as they embark on their ADSactly journey. There is lots of news coming to light as ADSactly is moving forward with some great projects including the advancement of community units and the development of ADSactly cash. If you are reading this and learning about ADSactly for the first time you should seriously consider swinging by the discord group and checking out all that ADSactly has to offer. You will meet some amazing members who are always willing to step up and lend a helping hand. You never know, you just might find ADSactly what you have been looking for all along.

We welcome you to join the society, meet and talk to people, make friends and establish relations with other ADSactly members. You will receive ADSactly community units just for showing up and taking part in our voice hangouts, for helping out with promotions, for helping new members feel welcomed, showing them around and helping them get familiar with the society, for finding new projects that might catch interest of other members. Sometimes even for being generally a good person willing to help others.
