I didn't have a post prepared for tonight and wasn't even sure if I would be sharing one tonight, but Mother nature lead me to take a couple of photos to share with family tonight and thought I would use them for a post
At the end is a link to a video I put on youtube of the actual start of the snow, but in all honesty, there was only a few flakes coming down and wind blowing a tree, but check it out if you want.
That was before the meeting I was going to in the UN main building, and I thought that's all we were going to get, but a little over an hour later the snow was coming down pretty steadilyThis first shot is as I was about to cross Firts Ave and the snow was coming down pretty steady by then but not to much was settling.
THis second shot is looking out the train Window by the 125th Strete Station in Harlem, and now more was settling, but I was still hopeful, that by the time I got off the train an hour and a half later thats all I would see in Milford.
Yet again I was wrong the snow was falling even harder in Milford and I would guess the accumulation on the car was about 3 inches, no photos sorry it was dark by then, and I just wanted to clear the snow off the car and get home and warm. I was findign it real cold with the real fele temp being 20F so went like a madman to clean the snow off the car, looking back not quite taking it easy but it wasnt that much snow and didnt take to long and I did not feel any ill effects from the little workout so all is good
I know I shouldn't complain and we have had snow earlier here, but for me this is to early its still officially Fall
Here is the video I mentioned earlier, as it started looking out the window from in the United Nations building, fairly terrible with the sound and wasn't much snow at this stage but I thought I would include the link to the video here

Looks freez-z-z-ing. We had 1st snow 2 days ago, and when I cleaned the snow off the car it was heavy but it wasn't too hard job. But in the afternoon the weather has changed: frozen rain instead of snow flakes. So, when I came back to the car in 3 hours, it looked like a lollipop.
Yesterday we had a mild thaw, and today it is frost again, and walkways are very slippery.
Well, it's winter
Luckily I dont have to walk today, but it looks like we got rain overnight so some of the snow is gone but it looks icy out there glad I can stay home today
Ugh...winter😰 totally not a fan. Is pretty though!

It really feels like everyone I've seen here in the US is getting winter early. Even here in Tennessee we've gotten colder temps earlier than I can remember. I love snow so your pictures are really pretty to me. That being said, my body isn't ready for cold yet and my bones are aching just looking at all that white stuff this early. :)
Ohh yes my bones are aching tonight just from clearing the car, glad I dont need to shovel snow where I live

WOW you worked there we may have walked past each other, I worked in the main building for maybe 77 Years and in other buildings for a while and for the UN for close to 30 years now
I feel the chill factor just looking at your photos and video. I agree that it just feels a little too early for snow yet although Christmas isn't too far off.....and what would that be like without snow? Perhaps this is just a practice run for then....
