DARKNESS IS UPON US.
A still simple dawn,
Then the drapes are drawn
Today might be okay,
But the dawn turns to day,
Still in a fog I must rest,
Anchoring pain in the abyss of my chest
A cooling heart remains in there,
Can someone light it with a flare?
Excitement and thrill it used to know
I’m a fog that seems to grow
Taking the outside, trying anything
One by one it all still stings
Crying out for help ceases to succeed
The creeping darkness is of a new breed
At last the day is done
As the sun sets I still have not won
Wishing and waiting does not work
One breath after the other and it still hurts
One two three drops tumble down
“That’s not enough,” says sorrow “I want you to drown.”
