11. You must have skill

As a beginner you don't need to worry about this one, but if you already have skill, then the Grand Master would have kept an eye on you to make sure you progress at a faster rate. And for those who weren't beginners, but still didn't have any skill, well, it is pretty safe to say his time would have been dedicated elsewhere.

12. You must be the right age

If you're too young, then you could be too immature to grasp the higher level teachings. If you're too old, your body may not work properly to put in the hard training. (Remember that this is positioned towards those who will be the best to teach the next generation, not that you cannot train into your older years).

13. You must have the right attitude

The right type of student is calm under pressure and generally always happy.

14. You must like people

If you're a negative type, or always angry, then it does no good to teach you how to hurt somebody. There is a good chance you'll use the art and simply add more trouble to your life.

15. You must be humble

A cup that is always full cannot receive any more water. So too, a student who knows it all cannot receive any new teachings. The best advice is to have a beginners mind in whatever you do. In Karate you may have heard black belts who are amazing speaking about how they see themselves as a white belt.
