I went to the park with my son at Point Defiance Park just this past summer to spend quality time together. It was a beautiful day and so was the weather. Going to the park is always a fun activity for family and friends. There are always some interesting and fascinating things to see there that will captivate your sight and be at awed at them for their striking features, uniqueness, and whatnot. And that’s why we went there to see, take photos, and explore the surrounding environment. And sure enough one of the many beautiful and interesting wildlife creatures in the park was the deer.

I’ve read from the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife website that deer changes their color in the summer season and also in the winter season. This was in the summer so the color of the deer was light brown.

And their color changes to salt-and-pepper gray in the winter. Here in these photos, they looked very calm and harmless. The deer were obviously searching for something to eat. These kinds of animal species are herbivores hence they feed only on plants, shrubs, the tips of the trees, and grass.

It is basically what they do most of the day foraging for something to eat for food. It seems to appear that they never get full and are always hungry.

So, that was our quality time together when we visited and strolled at the big acreage park that Point Defiance offers to their patronage in the community.
