Hi steemians, just few days after the launch of the project we're happy to announce our first participant: @raymonjohnstone! Thanks for your contribution and quick response!
The new Steem.center wiki editor started editing these pages:
By now, as what we said in the project's introduction and following the rules proposed, @raymonjohnstone will be included in the division of the amount collected this month here in @steemcenterwiki.
Right now the balance here in @steemcenterwiki shows 0.161 steem in its 4th day of activities and the sum until the end of the month will be shared with @raymonjohnstone and future participants. We also invite you to see the rules and join us if you like.

If you liked the project and want to collaborate in the wiki and earn part of the steems collected here, please follow us, register in Steem.center and show your Steemit username in you profile page. Then start to create and edit pages, if you want, you can use the MediaWiki tutorial as reference to create and edit pages in Steem.center wiki, wich runs in MediaWiki, the same engine of Wikipedia.

Man, months ago I mentioned the idea of starting a steem wiki (around Aug- Sep. I even created a wikia as a "sketch" of the idea http://steem.wikia.com/) yet never went further than registering it.
i'm glad that someone has a bit more push than me... Yet, another idea I have that is developed later by others. @raymonjohnstone finish that game!!! (can I also claim that Idea?)
Congratulations for your wiki! We think you shouldn't be upset or give up of your idea, it would be better to the users if there are more options and information. In a previous post @raymonjohnstone also told us in this comment about http://steemwiki.com. We wish you too could became a contributor in our wiki, perhaps including a page about your wikia wiki project and receive a share of the amount of steem collected here, as set in our project's rules. Hi, as @natenvos wrote in the post Can we put Wikipedia under STEEM? I believe the idea of wiki users rewarded with steem could be amplified to many theme wikis other than only about Steem. Eventually they could also be integrated with @busy.org's Steem Connect technology, as I commented here some weeks ago.
Do you know that you cannot edit data after a while? that is vital at any wiki when UPDATES arise
I was thinking in integrate only the Steemit users registers and upvotes, the wiki pages would continue in a wiki platform like Mediawiki or Wikia, if it's possible.
Then a lot of "pages" would be created for the sole purpose of "rewards" as it happens with articles on steemit. What would be the benefit of upvoting there?
I think if @busy.org's Steem Connect technology could integrate a wiki with Steemit accounts, every page on the wiki could be upvoted and the page's creator the can be rewarded with steem/sp/sbd, as happen here in Steemit.
As I told in the comment before, I'm not a programmer but I found this instruction using javascript in Wikimedia: Adding HTML to wiki pages. I wonder if the wiki username could be used as a variable, so, to work the Steemit username must be the same.
Perhaps one serious inconvenience would be that it benefits only the user who create or made the last edition on the wiki page, not both.
