Why and when humans started to wear clothes

in #whysoserious8 years ago

This summer was so hot that I wished many times not to wear any clothes! ;)

But if I didn't wear any clothes I would probably write this today from some mental institution... So, we, humans decided that wearing of clothes is normal and not wearing any clothes isn't.
What is natural and what isn't... it is not on us to decide, the nature has spoken many thousands of years ago and we adjusted that nature to ourselves instead ourselves to the nature. Maybe others simply don't wish to see the content of your panties and you have to respect that. Although, being naked can improve your immune system, you burn more fat and you would probably have more fun in your life. If it was normal to walk around completely nude, who would mind to see sex in public or anything else that today is considered as disorder.

There are few different theories about when and why humans started to wear clothes. Here are some of them.

  1. Some scientists claim that humans started to wear simple clothes made of animal hides when they lost their body hair around one million years ago. That material is highly degradable and we cannot find any fossils that can confirm that theory but the first tool to scrape animal hides dates from 800 000 years ago. But I have to mention that animal hides weren't used only for clothes but also for shelters.
  2. Some scientists were studying the evolution of lice. It seems that the "cloth lice" evolved from "hair lice" and that happened 170 000 years ago.
  3. Others claim that humans haven't wear any clothes before they were exposed to last glacial age (110 000 years ago) and even later, when they decided to migrate from Africa to north (70 000 years ago). North was much cooler, so clothes made that migration possible.

Humans started to weave around 27 000 years ago. So the first fabric, first textile made humans to wear clothes not only for warmth but also to look nice! That's how the fashion thing started... and yes, humans started to be ashamed of their fully nude appearance.

From that, different civilizations started to produce their own fashion materials. Egyptians started to produce linen 5500 years ago and Chinese started with silk 4000 years ago. It was all going very slowly until the first industrial revolution, clothes became easier to produce and much cheaper. So today you can see a lot of funny dressed young people and, sadly, that clothes mean to them much more than what is in their brains. Thank you!

If you don't get out of home, you don't have to wear clothes :-)

Hahahaha, nice!

Good stuff. Something we take for granted and built taboos around. Clothes set us apart from the rest of the animal kingdom, along with our brains. Making us more detached from blending with nature. We seem to think we are above the forces that shaped us.

Exactly! And if we didn't force that, our immune system and resistance to some diseases would be improved

Or we would have pneumonia? lol

@dumar022 yeah! Why I have never considered that until eventually now. Tend to be the animals immortal in advance of male fully commited sin???.

Hahahaha, lol

@dumar022 Very well performed for sticking at it! It's really a new technique for lifetime therefore you are modern-day pioneers. Adore it..

Thanks for sharing..

My point of view that;
Humans started to covering up sensitive areas of their body to keep them strong in front of enemies. The same goes with soilders in war.

Soldiers wear thicks on their sensitive areas at a fight so nothing can go through. If sonething is able to go through your sensitive part of body then its a shame that it was in your hands to take precautions in saving it.

Thank you!!!
