#funny is not funny anymore! Use #whysoserious!
I have to do something with this #whysoserious tag that I started more than 15 months ago, since I find many dead serious things tagged as #funny...
And I found out that really hilarious posts are very rarely trending on Steemit.
Trending is reserved for major figures, developers, crypto maniacs and some of great cooks and photographers and I am OK with that, they deserved it, but those people don't like to joke!
And when you find a really funny post, an original joke, it seems that nobody laughs.
You know the feeling when you tell a joke in presence of some people and nobody laughs?
Like when you were the last person on the Earth to hear old joke about how the rabbit and the bear met the fairy... You really hoped that you will make people to piss their pants by laughing, but nothing happened. They already heard the joke and it isn't funny to them anymore.
My posts are sometimes inappropriate but I'm trying to send positive messages through them and, if possible, to make people laugh. I use my own tag #whysoserious along with #funny but I don't see the point of using #funny because I find great posts about your road trip with your family. It is very nice post, photos are awesome but it is not funny! Same with "# story tag"! I find everything there but rarely a proper story.
Funny Steemers are fun and positive side of this serious community but being #funny is not the most important thing in life or on Steemit.
We have to accept that, but still, we can't give up!
So I appeal again on all of you to use #whysoserious tag but only for funny things. It would be nice if funny people were united under a proper tag and maybe, one day, we will build a powerful community if we find some decent, but less serious supporters. I am not powerful or rich but I will reward one #whysoserious post week with 5 SBD for now, but maybe some funny guys will join me.

I'm a photographer and I try to be funny... I also use your tag... but never end in trending. I suppose my humor is only funny to me... 😜🙃😜
Anyway, I always read your posts and I'm very happy for all the effort you're putting in them. Crypto is nice but... let's be honest, most post are very boring. I wish there were more posts like yours, original and with humor! Keep up the good work, you are elevating the level of posts on steemit and I always enjoy reading you!

Hi @dumar022, I think it is as if we should remind people they shouldn't be so serious about trying to make money on Steemit... I assume that's another reason why the funny tag is being flooded, and that's not very funny to me :p

Didn't know funny tag was being misused and abused. No more comedians on TV that give me belly laughs. Political correctness has made comedy serious.
