Whiskey Wednesday
This is my entry into @derangedvisions #whiskeywednesday contest ! It was inspired by a conversation between @derangedvisions , @yumyumseth, and myself on my post about the Canadian Whiskey bar I built (aka the igloo ) ! You can see the post about building the igloo here.
Deranged is obviously the most most motivated between us; hopefully when he retires on the proceeds from #whiskywedensday he will shout us a few.
Seems fitting that today is the day that the ice broke up on the lake. So a little copper pot in some stainless .
It has been part of my Canadian indoctrination to learn to drink whisky. I am historically a Rum drinker as I grew up in Queensland. I know most people think of Australia as desert with a fringing Mediterranean climate full of wine. But Queensland is two and a half times the size of Texas, a lot of which is lush and tropical, with the biggest reef in the world. Its sugar production makes Australia the second largest raw sugar exporter in the world (behind Brazil) . And where there is sugar there is rum. It is between 10 deg S and 28 deg S. So visualize a State that filled all the latitudes between between Costa Rica and Baja California (up to the US boarder) that is 2.5 times the size of Texas, but with a population of only 4.6 million and you will have an idea.
