Lets Understand first the Steemit Level

here are the level introduced in steemit.

Since the above name was in Vest, Lets calculate how many vest in every Steem power.

• Go to https://steemd.com/ and lookup the number steem_per_mvests.
• Calculate (1,000,000 / steem_per_mvests) * amount_of_STEEM
• the current steem_per_mvests is 482.923
• it would be (1,000,000 / 482.923) * 1 = 2,070.72 VEST
• 2,070.72 VEST is 1 Steem power
• 1, 000,000 VEST is 483 STEEM POWER

SP needed in Every Level

• REDFISH - 0 to 483 STEEM POWER
• MINNOW- 483 to 4, 830 STEEM POWER
• DOLPHIN- 4, 830 to 48, 300 STEEM POWER
• ORCA- 48, 300 to 483, 000 STEEM POWER
• WHALE- 483, 000 up STEEM POWER

SO, to become a whale in steemit, you need to hold a minimum of 483 k Steem. You can get that amount either in short term by Investing or by long term by converting all earnings to steem and power up.

I think anybody can be a whale now!
