Posting the Author strategies of the Top Whales on Steemit
Background
In an effort to understand the author strategies of the most popular authors, i have initiated this research on the recommendations of @jerrybanfield. I wrote my first post last wednesday as a response to Jerry's Post.
Previous Study- Undervalued Whales
This post was the first in the series of the #whalesanalytics, which identified the top ten undervalued whales based on their followings and Steem Power.
This study is response to the appeal made by @jerrybanfield to find out the Author Strategies of the Top 50 Whales. After reading his post I thought of running the analytical project on the whales. This is one of the most dominant category on the steemit earth.
To identify the top 10 undervalued accounts i have analysed 1100 accounts ranked by the https://steemwhales.com, did little bit of coding and crunching and came out with the list of the top ten whales to be followed and are currently undervalued.
Source of Data
I have obtained the data related to the steemwhales from the website https://steemwhales.com/?p=1&s=power
Additionally Please Note,
- This analysis is based on the top 50 Steemwhales ranked by their reputation.
- These are ranked by https://steemwhales.com as on 05.07.2017
Methodology
- I have applied different parameters while completing the analytics related to the whales
- Efforts have been made to identify those whales who are active in last 30 days.
- The data used in this analysis is valid for 05.07.2017 only.
The Results
Here i have found the Posting strategies of top 50 Authors according to their reputation.
My Observation
Most of the popular authors have created the utility integrating with the steem platform such as the chat, newsletter etc and they have went on posting the content around it. There are very few like @sweetsssj or @knozaki2015, who have chosen to write exclusively on travel and still gained popularity.
