Another day at school - My We-Write
The beginning of the story for We-Write by @zeldacroft, and @freewritehouse
"A first sentence is all it takes to get the story going. Just start writing and see where it goes," suggested Mrs. Mowry as she handed out the composition notebooks. Some of her students eagerly grasped them, while others reluctantly dropped it on their desk. With a shuffle they each pulled out their pencil cases, although Charlie already had his half-chewed pencil in hand.
The classroom was especially cheerfully decorated, from the colored pin boards hanging on the walls to the beanbags in the reading corner. Even the chairs the children sat on were varying shades of blue. Some of the students were shifting in them, mostly out of anxiety or excitement.
"Mrs. Mowry, do we need to write in pencil?" asked one of the younger girls, Alicia. Her utensils of choice were falling out of their case in a myriad of colors.
"So long as I can read it you can use whatever you want." The teacher smiled as the girl excitedly picked up a bright blue pen, and then a green one. "But I do recommend one color at a time."
My Ending:
Mrs. Mowry continued raising her voice slightly and spacing out her words just a bit. "Now don't forget the object of this lesson is not the matter you write but what .. you.. CREATE. Charlie don't chew the pencil after you begin to write. It will skew your magic. For those who can not start.. think of a thing ... a place and start to describe it....Your favorite playground, the toy car, the doll.. And Angie don't describe a dragon.. Nothing violent please."
Mrs. Mowry stood right at he back of the class, she knew the trouble makers were there. After a few glares and Hmm. Hmmms a silent temporary understanding was reached between the teacher and her students, only after that did Mrs. Mowry turn to look at the rest of the classroom. She noticed that a shadow hovered above Charlie and started to walk towards him, while glancing about the books of near by students.
"Charlie, whatever you are writing, just make sunshine there. "
"But..Ma'am sunshine inside a cave.."
"Stop, I am coming."
The backbenchers looked at each other in knowing glances. In seconds one had drawn a pitchfork and another had drawn what looked like a portly baby without the head. The third had drawn a face with horns. The pictures were pasted together in a simple collage and as soon as the red outline was complete the tiny devil rose from the page.
The loud shouting and a crash made Mrs. Mowry turn in time to see the devil jab one of the kids with a burning pitchfork. Two kids were scrambling away from it, one holding his burnt arm, pain and teary eyes making his face look ghastly. Mrs Mowry pursed her lips and went towards the kid who she had seen was drawing a horse. She took the unfinished drawing and with a few deft lines from a borrowed pencil conjured a unicorn.
The unicorn blasted a shrill whistle from its nostrils and charged at the devil, who in turn took off towards the nearest window and then through the glass. But the unicorn was faster and its glowing horn punctured the devil just beyond the window. A loud bang followed by a strong sulphur smell filled the now quite classroom. The unicorn flew back in and settled on the desk from where it had risen.
"OK you three." Mrs. Mowry snapped, pointing at the three errant backbenchers.
"Six hours cleaning the griffin stables for each of you."
She walked to the head of the class and turned around. "Complete your books as home work, today's session is lost anyway. Next week we begin chain spells so get your silver nibbed tools. The introductory notes will appear in your lockers before evening. Class dismissed."
She sat down at her desk while the students filed out. The unicorn flew and landed on her desk looking at her with innocent eyes.

Excellent! Love the magic. Dueling drawings. Cool, very cool.
ehy dear @sarez, you wrote a beautiful story! independently of the fantasy genre you've chosen, writing just happens like this: we give life to characters and images and create stories. if we are good these stories become palpable like reality .-)) keep on and congratulations on your vote curie
Thank You for such a wonderful comment. These up-beat feedbacks are a reward by themselves.
Hi. Personally, I consider writing the continuation or the endings that others have started in extremely difficult.
I think, according to what I have read in this publication, that you have solved this fiction story with great creativity. I hope Mrs. Mowry doesn't know that the creator of the unicorn is you, hahahahaha. I congratulate you. Regards @sarez
You need to join us. Its a fun ride and more the merrier.
Like Mrs. Mowry says. "A first sentence is all it takes to get the story going. Just start writing and see where it goes,"

Hahaha... Great idea! The classroom in Hogwarts. I wonder if the name of one of Charlie's classmates is Harry?
OK OK you guessed it! But then imitation is just a form of flattery.
My friend, that was not a sarcastic remark. I thought it was genuinely a great idea!
Thanks! I replied to your comment with a wide smile of my own. I want you to Keep coming back. ;)
