Weekend Recap

Hi Friends,

I had a good weekend and hope each of you did as well.

It was actually a special weekend as my parents in law took the kids for the weekend and my wife and I got a couple days off!

Restaurants have begun to open here, but not all of them. We looked at gift certificates we had and tried to find something that was open - we ended up at Applebees for our first dinner out in months. When we got home, we did a night bike ride and ended up stopping at a local bar that was open where we grabbed a beer and played some shuffleboard... good times!

On Saturday morning, I played 9 holes of golf with some buddies with a tee time at 6:25am. We were done and I was home by 8:30am. We did some errands in the morning, and took it easy at home in the afternoon. I cooked up some steaks for dinner, so that was delicious.

On Sunday, we loaded up the beach cruiser bikes in my truck and headed down to the beach. We rode along the boardwalks and up a couple of piers, had a nice lunch, and walked around the downtown area of the beach and also walked along the beach getting our feet wet. It was a nice time! We came home and relaxed in the evening, playing a few games of Sequence.

Overall, a real treat to have no kids, but I look forward to playing with them when they come home tomorrow!
