WednesdayWalk - We continue walks on the Ice Age

in #wednesdaywalk6 years ago

Hi, Steemit!!!

Today we continue walks on the Ice Age! Last time we met Megatherium. And today we move on. The next shaggy exhibit was located closer to the building.

Below on the plate we read who is in front of us: Diprotodon (Diprotodon optatum). It was also a herbivore, but, as you can see, it is much lower than megatherium. They weighed up to 3 tons, and lived in Australia.

I wouldn't call him handsome :))))

image

Let's revive him a little :)))) https://d.tube/v/tali72/etakn859

His teeth were done very skillfully. Small tablets near the exhibits warn that you cannot touch them. Honestly, I didn’t have such a desire :))))

And here is the mammoth !!!

image

image

What a handsome shaggy boy! Mammoths (Mammuthus) are better known to us than the rest of the Ice Age. They belonged to the family of ivory

image

The shaggy mammoth didn’t talk to us. He gazed in proud silence from his glacial past onto the modern world. Opposite him stood a little distance away, resembling a rhino in a fur coat :)))

image

image

It turns out that this is really a rhinoceros, only woolly - Coelodonta antiquitatis. The plate says that these animals lived in Europe, North Asia and the Himalayas, were vegetarians :))) and weighed up to 3 tons.

image

Rhino was not opposed to talk His voice was completely not solid against the background of an impressive appearance :)))) https://d.tube/v/tali72/4534kntq

These exhibits are made very skillfully. Pay attention to the side of the rhino in the video: he not only twists his head, but also breathes!

According to our map of the park, we have to go inside the building. Last look at our cute mammoth!

Next time we will continue our walk further.

Have a nice day !!!

Howdy tali72! wow these are magnificent replicas, where is this?

Hello!!!! it is in the south of Israel - the city of Beer Sheva. if you want, look more photos here - http://israbel.net/archives/8085

Howdy tali72! wow, Israel! I don't know anyone from Israel, not even on steemit so it's an honor to meet you. What is your story, are you Israeli?

there are a few guys from Israel but they are not often. I have not seen them for a long time. No, I was born in another country. My parents moved to Israel about twenty years ago, but my husband and I have lived here for about ten years. We like Israel - it is a beautiful country with a rich ancient history. for photographers here is a real pleasure. have you been to Israel yet?

Howdy again tali72! Very interesting, what brought you guys back to Israel, work? What country are you from originally? No, I haven't been but would love to!

We are from Ukraine. we actually moved to work, but my parents and other relatives moved to Israel because of the difficult economic situation in Ukraine. Ukraine is even harder now

Howdy again tali72! yes, Ukraine has been throught alot in the last few years. Well, more than a few, more like the last 10 or 15 years, right? Really tough situation there. It seems like Israel's economy is always booming.

Israel is unique in this: when housing prices fall around the world, they grow in Israel .....
