WednesdayWalk - Journey through the Ice Age
Hi, Steemit!!!
We continue our journey through the Ice Age. Suddenly, we were faced with a frightening beast.
We call them saber-toothed tigers! In fact, this Smilodony (lat. Smīlodōn populator) - extinct saber-toothed cats. For the first time on the plate it was written that this animal is carnivorous. The presence of such canines leaves no doubt about it.
They lived in North and South America; the largest representatives of the breed weighed up to 400 kg.
Smilodon very similar to modern tigers, but more powerful in physique. Their tail is shorter. When the beast came to life, its tail came to life too :)
Honestly, unlike the little mammoth, I don’t really regret that this kind of animal died in a global cataclysm :)
On the map in front of us was some strange room.
Traces lead there! Dark as in a cave.
This is the cave! Even cave paintings are depicted on the walls. Footprints are clearly not people :) Here is an explanation for everything: Cave Bear! This monster!
Again the tablet surprised us: it turns out this beast was "omnivorous." He lived in Europe, Russia and in the north of the Middle East. Bear-man weighed up to 600 kg. "Ladies" were smaller; their weight reached only 250 kg. Let's try to imagine what we would feel when we met such a giant!
Being close to the cave bear, even realizing that this is just a big moving toy, is not particularly comfortable :) Behind him we saw the mock ice wall
In the niches of the wall lay real cold snow! In the very same room was the usual temperature. We even touched him. In this room, it was impossible to touch only a bear. There were even drawers with a hole on which it was written that you could stick your hand into this hole and touch the real wool lying there. We did not have the desire :))))
Leaving, we left the bear to roar at an imaginary enemy who invaded the distant ice age in his native cave.
That ended our journey to the ice age of the long gone past. It was interesting and a little sad. Such a variety of living creatures, freely running across the expanses of the earth, went into oblivion.
Have a nice day !!!
