Wednesday Walk - Turtles, Bugs and Flowers
I had a chance to go to the Morton Arboretum again this weekend and found a couple strange creatures.
Here's a snapper that was spying on me from the water. His algae hairstyle is a good camoflage.
Here he is spying from under the water.
Later my girlfriend and I found this softshell turtle. Here's the dtube video of us catching it. https://d.tube/v/sketch.and.jam/lrefw1kzuq1
Later we found this red milkweed beetle.
And this soldier beetle.
I'm not sure what kind of flowers these are...
Here's a bright columbian lily.
These lilies like to hang down. Note the little aphid on the side.
Here's some 6ft tall grass in a wetland area. I made the mistake of trying to walk through it once. This type of grass cuts you up. Happy #wednesdaywalk @tattoodjay

He looks so stylish with that hair style I am guessing he is more keen on Caviar than sardines :)
Ha yeah expensive turtle tastes. He had a hard time figuring out how to eat the fish pellets, i think he is trained to go after moving targets.

WoW....some pretty awesome photography work you have done there love them all that softshell turtle has a funny nose more like a Anteater so cute....lol :)
This was the first time i ever caught one. Their mouths are pretty weird too.

I must say that was a truly wonderful walk, taking us on an adventure with your Wednesday Walk! The turtles were all great captures, I really liked the one with the mossy hair.

Flowers are my true love and thank you for sharing them. Gorgeous! That grass! I have some here and it is hard to walk through and leaves slices on your arms and legs! No bueno!
