Yeah, good luck! It looks like another bomb cyclone is coming. Though I think they are supposed to get it worse south of us. We went from temps in the 70's the other day to them calling for two inches of snow tomorrow...

Thanks for the tip! My daughter has spent a lot of time taming the chipmunks. After several years it has become easier, because the mama chipmunks teach the new babies that she is a safe person and they bring them right up to her for snacks. The squirrels think the chipmunks are crazy and watch from a safe distance. We have had high water for the past several years. I wonder if it will ever go back to normal!

There has been a no-wake restriction for boats on the river for the past 3 summers to help prevent erosion. My daughter has been doolittling since she was just small.
Do the boats adhere to it I remember seeing another post a while back where someone was aging what’s the point of a no wake law if they do not enforce it

There is only two public landings on my stretch of the river and they so a great job posting it. Most of the boats that are out there belong to property owners along the river and they don't want to wash away their own property or make their neighbors angry so most everyone complies. I have seen my eighty-year-old neighbor out on her dock with her fist in the air yelling no wake no wake! So I guess there is the occasional abuser!
Thats good to hear that most adhere tot he rules, but of course there will always be the exception

Crazy weather...!!! I have had snow and freezing rain. My trees have been covered with it for 3 days 🤷♀️🤦♀️.
We are getting blasted. Snow rain hail and high winds.

The little chickadees were among my parents' favorite birds to watch. My father built a birhouse or two just for them! I've never seen anyone tame a chipmuch so they could touch it! Wow!
She has several chipmunks that come when she calls them. The other day when it was nice I was out sitting on the deck talking on the phone. The chipmunk must have thought that I was talking to him, because he came and jumped up into my lap! I didn't have any snacks for him so I had to come back into the house and get a handful of seeds. They are fun. I wouldn't have the patience for it, but she has put a lot of time into getting them to be tame.
I kind of miss seeing chipmunks, we have a squirrel and sometimes rabbits, but no chipmunks. You daughters one seems to be pretty friendly. We were kind of surprised at the water levels in the Upper Kenai River by Cooper Landing, unlike yours it was the lowest I recall ever seeing it.
This seems like an odd time of year to have low water levels, doesn't that? I seldom see any rabbits here in the woods, I think the fox population keeps the numbers down. But I do love having the chipmunks!

We are back to cold and snow, so I'm glad I got out and enjoyed the sunshine while I could.
I am glad that spring is going on anyway, and the snow and cold will end soon.
