Wow, the flowers on those plants are huge and I can see that the local bees are enjoying them very much. Thanks for sharing such beauties from your world Joan.

They are a heart warming site throughout winter Wanda, thanks for visiting and enjoying with me.

What a beautiful area about the walk I did not know anything about aloe plants before seeing this post so it was very informative, and then the bonus of the heron how cool is that

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :)

We have the small aloe vera plant in a pot, when insects bite, or happen to burn yourself in the kitchen, go outside cut a leaf and apply directly, it is this smaller version most come into contact with.

The heron was slowly idling past not bothered by much. Did not get to put up photo details, ran out of day. Thanks for visiting and hosting #WednesdayWalk

Yes I have heard of and used Aloe it is very effective, having the plants handy is a great thing

Thank you so much @ayasha-art and @helpiecake appreciated.

Nice selection of aloe. Some forms I had not seen before.

Thanks for enjoying @lordvdr

Those are amazing!!! Thanks for sharing.

Glad you enjoyed seeing them @viking-ventures

Wow they get massive!!
Ive never seen it at that size....must take YEARS!

I need to get some hardier trees growing in our place since were in the western Cape and the climate is drier it would be a lot better suited.

The first aloe is slow growing, been in the Toti Library Gardens for as long as I can remember.

Western Cape is renowned for aloes, they are so hardy, need little attention you will enjoy having them around. A possible place to visit Aloe Nursery

Thank you....I will check that out. And our current vet plant are going great guns! Unlike many of the traditional plants that take so much effort and have such a high mortality

Yup! Our country is filled with aloes and succulents of all types Lady Joan.
You have put a great informative post together here with beautiful pictures!
Blessings!

When you start looking around, you suddenly realize just how many we have, it is mind boggling Stephen.
