RE: WednesdayWalk - A short walk along the streets of Be'er Sheva
Howdy tali72! wow all of these photos are so unique! Very unusual house, that art wall, the art building, very interesting. Have you guys been close to any of the rocket attacks?
we had rocket attacks a few days ago — we were shot at several days. it is very unpleasant and unnerving. Of course we have a siren as a warning of a flying rocket. You have 40-45 seconds to run into the bomb shelter. when we went to live here, we assumed that this could happen and therefore we were looking for an apartment in which there is a fortified room. we lived in this room in those days. but you are not at home all day. on the street to reach the bomb shelter more difficult. unfortunately several people died in the nearby town.
yes Ma'am I was so sad to hear that there were deaths from the rockets. So did you have to use a public bomb shelter or were you home?
in the newer houses in each apartment there is a fortified room - a bomb shelter. it has one metal window and a special door. if during the siren we are at home, then run there. sometimes you have to run out wet from the bath :) in the old multi-storey buildings, bomb shelters are located on the first floors and people descend there during shelling. when we are on the street, we try to go near such houses to run there. in private houses, old-style bomb shelters are located on a nearby street.
oh, ok, this is a crazy subject to talk about isn't it?? Who would think that you have to have bomb shelters to run into? Thanks for all the explanation!
