Wednesday Walk - With My Son in Bangkok !
Hi everyone i can't believe i haven't done a #wednesdaywalk blog for nearly a month sorry @tattoodjay but i have been to busy enjoying myself with my son and his friends but i am back and my #wednesdaywalk i spent with my son visiting the temple of dawn on his last day in Bangkok city so it was what he wanted to see before heading back to Australia so we walked to the Skytrain and then took the boat up the river to the temple of dawn.
We had left it to a later afternoon to go and visit the temple of dawn the reason been because you get a more lovely reflection of the temple by the sun rays bouncing of the temple and also at night they light up the temple with different colored lights which gives the temple a spiritual feeling.
Wat Arun Ratchawararam, meaning Temple of Dawn, is the most beautiful-less and most famous temple in Thailand soaring to 70 meter high spiral towers decorated with tiny pieces all colored glass and Chinese porcelain making it a very photogenic temple.
And of course there is always a temple cat to be guarding the temple grounds but always on the nod...lol.
There are also other Temples besides the Temple of dawn that are also very famous and beautifully architectural constructed representing the strength and power of healing amongst the Buddhist religion.
These huge Guards that stand out front of this temple are the protectors of all Gods and Thai people believe if you honor them they will bring you good fortune and good karma.
My son said he was going to find some more room on his body to tattoo one of these Guards of Gods to protective him from evil as if he hasn't got enough tattoo's god love him.
This is the inside and the door of one of the other temples.
It was getting later in the evening we had walked all around the temple grounds and now it was almost time for the temple to be lit up with reflecting colored lights is what my son was waiting to see and then the lights come on.
It was a happy joyful moment and even the rain flies were dancing around these colored lights.
It was certainly a experience for my son to see these such holy temples he definitely was surprised in the way these temples were put together so then it was back home across the river admiring the beautiful city of Bangkok.*
We get home a quick shower and change of cloths and go and enjoy a last awesome meal with my son before he heads back to Australia the next morning was definitely a beautiful way to end @wednesdaywalk with a delicious Thai dinner.
