London is always tricky when it comes to finding a good spot for some wedding portraits. Every so often I get a shot like #15 from a couple of days ago where we can find a quiet moment for a few photos, but most of the time the city just moves too fast, and quiet moments come in side streets and unexpected places.
It's not like anyone uses phonebooths anymore now anyway!
One of the things I like most about my favourite Steemians is that they share a little about what's going on with them. It's not all about pretty pictures or great articles. I'm not talking about everything from your mothers maiden name to the name of your first pet, but just getting to know them as people a bit. See @aussieninja, @schmidthappens and @ilanaakoundi for some good examples! Anyway I decided the Wedding Photo of the Day would be a good place for that. We've just got back from a couple of days away in our favourite place, the Lake District and we've crammed in as many photo trips as possible! Plenty of Steemit juice! Anyway it's been tricky to keep up with everything so I'll be doing my best to catch up with my feed before getting an early night!
Oh, and when I logged back on I noticed I'd won one of @aweber's daily contests and been an honourable mention in @jamtaylor's #steemitphotocontest (against some super tough competition!) Thanks for the awesome welcome back dudes! Turns out getting back from a holiday isn't so bad after all!

This photo is just so classy. I think my biggest takeaway from your work is to think about the foreground. I love how dirty the top left window pane is compared to the stunningness and detail of her dress. Such a great shot.
Did you set up a flash for this.. or is it all streetlamps (or is it actually daytime?)

This one isn't actually lit by us at all, there's streetlighting and a fairly high ISO, the 6d keeps a lot in the shadows so @vtravels is always pretty good at pulling up the detail. The window was missing in the pane that they are in so it was just a case of cramming myself in a box that smelled distinctly of urine and getting them/myself in the right position!

Ah it's always good to see people doing that little bit extra, it is great for exposure for everyone but they are more effort to do than people think! I found from the @weddingcontest account that it's a lot to keep on top of, and there's not even that many wedding togs on here yet! Glad you liked it, after I posted it I started to wonder if it was obvious enough!!
Yeah, it is great. I have a lot of wedding photos that I haven't posted, but plan on doing it. When I do, i'll make sure to use your tag! Plus, it's good that there aren't many wedding tags on here yet, might as well make as big of a name for it before Steemit blows up!
Yes! That would be awesome cheers dude, it's definitely very early stages, but at the moment I can keep the 1SBD prize as self sustaining and convert the excess to SP for the account, hopefully by the time Steemit blows up (and when it does I think wedding togs will FLOOD to it!) it's got a good voting power and can really give some big upvotes!
