Do you have your internet presence established yet?

Do you have your own website? Not yet? Why not! It is year 2016, and the internet is everywhere. We are no longer bound to a desktop PC to connect into the Google sphere, in fact, you can get there with your mobile phone down the street from your favorite restaurant. So why do we need a website? Well, okay, you don't need a website, but it certainly helps with what you're trying to expose since the majority of persons will connect online to look up something.

As we progress further away from the Great Recession, more and more job opportunities are popping up, but where do these jobs come from? How are these jobs found? You probably didn't hear about them in the local newspaper or Yellowpages at your front door, you probably found it online. Now you're seeing why internet presence can be important. Not only can seeking employment be found on the internet, but the internet has also provided employment over the internet. For the last two years, every single day, my job is 100% based on the internet, and without it obviously I would not be here.

So there is the why you should have a website. Now, what do you want to build a website about? That's a great question that everyone asks, but that's a question no one else can really answer except for yourself (and maybe a business partner). Compile your favorite recipes together. Create a photo blog of your recent travels. Write an introduction on why you need a website. These are the simplest and quickest ideas I can think of right now as I type this on what you can build a website about, so what's stopping you?

Some of these great ideas are representations of their business, of what they do to survive, or even a way of collecting additional income, and again. Go to Google, look for a website hosting service, and start working on something. In the years that I have spent education the importance of building a website and marketing that website, I can guarantee you a website was not an instant overnight success, but with the attitude to make it become a success, it is not hard to accomplish...especially when you mix a little bit of personal passion into the equation.

Don't be discouraged by base prices, you can find a service that will accommodate to how much you're willing to spend, but in the long run, creating a new identity on the internet will bring in more value than you would have to initially fork out. With the new wave of social media (oh, and don't forget Steemit now!), it is now a better time than ever before to begin. Don't be afraid to dive in.

Even if you don't have a lot of content, you can at least put up a "this is who I am" page at yourname.com and get email sent to [email protected]. This looks really professional, and when people look you up with Google or DuckDuckGo or whatever, they will see what YOU have written.

Thanks, Dasher! I really appreciate the input, I actually went and did just this.
