This strip is based on an actual event and coworker during the summer I worked in Geek Squad. The clip-on ties were standard issue at the time (and probably still are), and to my knowledge I was one of only two Geek Squad techs at that store who wore a normal tie. That coworker in question was a nice enough guy, but was also living proof there are guys out there with less "game" than even myself. :)
