Aftermath in Norwich from The Beast from the East

Happy Sunday to you all.

As some of you know, the UK has been battered this week by a weather system they named " The Beast from the East". If you google it - you'll see what I mean.

The city I live in: - Norwich - didn't escape the snow neither.

Here are some pictures and a video I took in Norwich over the last few days. It doesn't look even half as bad as it was on wednesday.

One thing I find people say it that in other countries, they deal with this weather all the time and that the UK was not prepared. In truth, we weren't - BUT the reality is, we hardly ever get this type of weather. Rain, yes.. snow - not really. This week has seen the worse fall of snow the country has had to deal with in 30 years.

There used to be Trams that ran down these roads starting from 1900. Sad that they were all gone before I was born. Cars rule the roads now.

Norwich is renowned for being host to two Cathedrals. This is the Roman Catholic Cathedral. Construction began in 1882 and finished in 1910. A young church considering Norwich Cathedral was built 1096-1145

Below is a clip of Grapes Hill I took on my journey home yesterday. You can see how bad the weather got - although a lot worse two days previous.
