Doomsday Scenarios - Nuclear War

Cold War was one of the biggest piss fights between countries , however it never became to real war. Obviously we can't deny the phychological devestation created by this tension. Oh also Nuclear missile heads were the main bragging material during this session. A lot of people think everyone is going to destroy each other with these nuclear missiles if a war breaks out.

How many Nuclear Weapons exist on the Earth ?

There are total of 9 countries in the world that posses nuclear weapons .Currently there are 14.900 Nuclear weapons in the world and obviously biggest actors of the cold war posses the 93 percent of the worlds nuclear weapons. Currently Russia got 7000 nuclear missiles , America got 6800 nuclear weapons after those 2 big powers France comes with 300 and then China with 260 and this goes on like this North Korea is the last in this nuclear weapon gathering race and they got lower than 15 missiles.

Eventhough I hardly think that countries is going to use this nuclear weapons because most of the wars occur because of some disagreement on profit share. However we all saw what happened in Hiroshima and Nagazhaki imagine there are 15.000 missiles that can do 15.000x more damage.

Doomsday Scenario

What will stop the current world leaders to use nuclear power ? and I hardly think we got a sane world leader recently. Maybe one of them will get angry over a tweet and going to press that big red button and he will tweet "Say Hello to the Nukes !" . Of course what will be the rational move against this kind of attitude ? You send more nukes to them and tweet back "I got bigger Nukes! "

I still think wars don't happen without some motivations like profit and resources. However we are living in a crazy crazy world and I think a tweet will start the Nuclear war and I'm pretty sure we got enough nuclear material to destroy our own world down to the core . Good part is we don't have to worry about it because we are going to melt in seconds if we are lucky or we will get poisoned by radiation.
