In the trenches of the Steemit World War Flag there are no smells, no mud... just sweat, sweet drinks and unhealthy snacks. I can't decide if the shout of Newsteem, that has gripped the masses, sounds Orwellian or Cromwellian, but none the less I welcome the carnage.
This whole war thing is addictive and all I want these days is more downvoting power. Before I wanted upvotes and growth above the inflation, now I will see the world of Steemit end before budging. I worry about strategy and resources and hates that nothing seems to be coordinated. Is it really time for the Siege of Haejin? Are we to take on the fortress of Trending or mop up the lumpenproletariat of reward-milking bots? @Slobberchops the mighty says that a terrible battle with a certain Mr. Crystal occupies our forces elsewhere. I never even heard of him... @Lordbutterfly is all over the place! He want single battle with the largest, most haunting monster. That guy is a glory addict if ever there was one.
And what have I done? I am fighting a lifeless milking-bot called @maykolcontreras in some desolate tunnels underneath the Promoted page - I haven't had any contact with it, just a weak little squad of downvoting bots attacking my and my fellow fighter's comments... then silence. It has left eggs in the tunnels though. Its complete fortune invested in some large bidbot payouts shared between ten posts a day for three days. I have become obsessed with the idea that negating all the rewards will kill it off.
And then...
Between the strange auto translated texts about meaningless subjects like, Today I will talk to you about the pen, and Today I will talk to you about the importance of air and its benefits (and the hideous Pixabay images) - I find a sentence. It is buried in gibberish, but it have returned to me since I read it the first time:
" ... you guys all know we are not on earth for a long time, we are coming to heat the museum."
And I ask myself, what kind of strange, mysterious vanitas image is that?

But what am I doing to better our ecosystem as a simple foot soldier is I am paying more attention to what's going on than I have ever been. I think my problem before was existing in a living community. The realization that everyone has a role to play is finally dawning on me. Sigh.
I think the time has come to clean up this place and for every 0.01$ of downvote on a person who cheats there will be 0.01$ for someone deserving it.

I think so too. We've put up with so much as a community and if my 0.01$ downvote is helping achieve that then I am in :)
Have to try and step up. I think the realization of what's at stake with my stake is helping bleed the ink on your screen.

My musical taste is of the kind where people who want to tell who I am from my record collection must give up. One of my friends, a visual artist, but mainly making a living from being a drummer in a cover band playing old Danish eighties hit, tried once. It was at a party in our flat and I wasn't paynig much attention to his little drunken project over in the corner until he began shouting, NOOOO, NOOOOOOO, this never happened to me before! There's no logic in this record collection!
I think I will make a post with some picks from my record collection.
