My Soul Weeps For All the Innocent People Being Killed By U.S. Foreign PolicysteemCreated with Sketch.

in #war7 years ago

US foreign policy is something I take a close look at on a daily basis. Being the editor of PFWnews.com, I try my best to keep an ear to the ground when it comes to who the U.S. is bombing and where. This is a difficult task because the bombs are dropping all over the place, all the time.

A recent report from Jason Ditz of AntiWar.com documents a recent scolding the United Nations has given the U.S. military for inflicting ‘unacceptable’ civilian casualties when conducting airstrikes in the Syrian city of Raqqa.

The UN warned that the city’s population is paying an “unacceptable price” from the US airstrikes, and that continued US bombardment may be in violation of international law as a result.

The US involvement is Raqqa is a part of the “Wrath of the Euphrates” offensive which seeks to rid ISIS from any strong hold it may have in the Raqqa province.

Ditz reports:

An estimated 20,000 civilians remain in Raqqa, and the US has labeled them “human shields.” The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights warned that in just in the month of August they’d documented 151 civilian deaths from the US-led invasion and US airstrikes.
The high commissioner noted that all civilians, including human shields, must be protected at all times, and said the attacking forces (which is to say, the US) are ignoring humanitarian law’s “principles of precautions, distinction, and proportionality.”
US officials have insisted they are taking utmost care to avoid civilian deaths. In reality, however, the Pentagon’s main effort in keeping the official death toll down has been to deliver preposterously low undercounts of how many they’ve killed in reports.

Since the election of U.S. President Donald Trump, US airstrikes have taken the lives of over 2,000 civilians. This includes women and children.

Millions of middle eastern people have been killed or displaced since the U.S. launched its global war on terror on the back of the 9/11 attack which the American public still begs for a more reasonable official explanation.

My soul is literally weeping for all of these people. They have been the target of an aggressive military operation that, when it comes down to it, is about destabilization and toppling governments. The average American's interests are not considered in this war on terror although the establishment paints a patriotic picture of the violence and covers it with a security blanket.

My soul is also weeping for all the U.S. service members who have died in the global war on terror. They unwittingly died serving a globalist agenda to impose western influence on foreign lands. And to bring it back to 9/11, they died for a flat out lie.

The lies of the US government and western media has plagued the world with death and destruction ...

Therefore my heart is weeping every day.

The death created by US foreign policy is buried by the mainstream media who is constantly shoving division down the American people's throats as the special interests run a muck.

It also saddens me that the American public - who are, for the most part, normal empathetic people who weaken at the thought of innocence dying - are not receiving the full truths about the US foreign policy that has driven up their national debt.

Anyway, I want to make my Steemit page a positive space as well as a place to rant over topics like this. I had to get this off my chest though. When you shed the tribalistic natures which are brought on at birth and realize you are a part of a larger picture ... humanity ... you tend to take issue with war.

I want others to take issue with war as well.

I want to move past this primitive stage of our existence in which we allow ourselves to be manipulated into accepting violence as humanitarian aid.
