A Magical journey-Glastonbury Tor

Today the sun was shining and there was a freshness of energy in Glastonbury town with many tourists arriving to visit the Abbey, its grounds and the famous hill thats called the 'Tor'. Its a good walk to the top but theirs a few lovely places to stop on the way up.

One place i would like to show you is a secret spot not many people find, its tucked into the side of the hill away from the path and ones almost guaranteed to be there on your own in peace to meditate.

This spot is called the egg stone and you can clearly see why it has its name. Legend has it that theirs a labyrinth of tunnels underneath the tor and behind the egg stone lays the entrance to this tunnel network.

Lots of people that visit like to leave ribbons on the branches of this beautiful hawthown tree as offerings and for prayers.

One final push to the summit and your greeted by the tower.

The views at the top are great, on a clear day i can see across the Bristol channel to Swansea in south Wales many miles away.

As with all journeys they must come to an end, as in this case, when i descend.
