When I saw the original image, I immediately compared it to the situation in my country, Venezuela.

Below is a short summary of what I perceived in this image:

The main political parties [Rojo (Oficialista), Azul (Opposition)] pursue a currency that constantly loses value. They fight for power to obtain benefits and thus give a better life to their family, since it is the only way.

Housewives struggle daily to have something to eat at home, stretching every penny to carry the bread of each day. Those who have nothing, is a pitiful situation. Many people live in the streets, "survive" from the garbage, it is very painful but true.

Men or women, executives and engineers, seek a decent job to emerge in a country that falls. For the value of the currency (Bolívar) it is impossible to get it. Winning 392,646 Bs monthly, that is, approximately $ 1.85 USD. Then the qualified and unqualified people see beyond, looking for jobs in unknown countries, risking everything for everything to survive. Yes, it sounds like a movie, this would be a horror and drama movie.

On the other hand, the elderly "live" from the pension that the government gives them. But it is not as easy as you can hear, this pension is not enough for a medicine, and if they save their price it is not enough to eat. To make things even more complicated, the poor old people must stand in long lines to be able to withdraw their money. There have been cases of deaths in these situations.

A wound coin that disappears little by little, that is about to fall to the void and to part that is not. Yes, bolívar notes are scarce. There are not enough to cover everything to a country, because of the high costs of living here. People who have tickets sell them at 100% of their value. For example, if I want 1,000 bs in cash I have to pay 2,000 bs per transfer or points of sale.

Finally, everyone chases a coin that has no value. Pitifully.

Screenshots

As I said before I used Photoshop CC to draw the image.

  1. Clean the original image by removing the background from the photo.
  2. Create layers for each of the objects, and insert them into folders for better control.

Basically I left the original image, just added the color and completed the lady that is on the right.
