Sargeant Declines Debate Ahead Of Elections!

Labour candidate jack Sargeant has stated that he will not be attending the upcoming BBC Wales debate for the welsh Assembly Elections for Alyn and Deeside. He said when questions about the matter "absolute focus is on speaking directly to the people of Alyn and Deeside". Following on with "I want nothing to distract our local campaign from this priority, and it's for this reason that I won't be taking part in hustings."

Carrie Harper for Plaid Cymru, Donna Lalek for the Welsh Liberal Democrats, Duncan Rees for the Wales Green Party and Sarah Atherton for the Welsh Conservatives will all still be there to promote their ideas and intentions for the candidacy. As this constituency is one of the lowest voting in Wales most people will rely on their information from what they can get on television and media in their spare time. So it makes an impact upon the potential of Sargeant having a good shot at the seat his party has had since powers were devolved if he doesn't attend this debate. .

But with Sargeant not in attendance it will spread the wrong message about his intentions and plans for the government, and will reduce faith in his leadership. As he will not be there too compete his ideas against other runners people will assume he can't handle confrontation, and will leave people guessing as to how me he belies in his own propositions and policies.

Abhorrent Law Abolished Finally

Fees for all sorts of thing are commonplace nowadays, such an example would be how Alyn and Deeside council residents have to pay £30 in fees for annual garbage disposal now. But thanks to a push by Deputy Council Leader of Cerridigion a fee charged to parents for the death of a child not yet registered has been scrapped. The case came about dealing with distraught parents over the heartless fees, Quant said the decision was "absolutely right" and unnecessary emotional burden". It's shameful that this law was ever given the opportunity to become manifest, and it's important that such medieval legislation's are rejected by the newly elected Assembly member.
