A & E Emergency

Glan Clywd Hospital has been revealed in a review of healthcare in Wales that it's Accident and Emergency Departmen has a much higher than average death rate than the rest of wales. The hospital has a rate of 30.4 per 10,000 patients compared to the national average of 19.4. This is of course very concerning should be fully evaluated to interpret the statistics, Conservative AM Darren Miller says "if you're more likely to die in that emergency department compared to others in north Wales, you've got to ask yourself the question: What's going wrong in that emergency department?"

Miller has a point but risks offending doctors who work hard every day under increasing pressure to save peoples lives, and Dr Evan Moore from Glan Clwyd Emergency department has offered this. Stating that the area was receiving a higher than average number of elderly patients and ambulance deliveries in the area, and was therefore faced with more critical, terminal and fragile conditions than other areas of Wales.

The Nurses and Doctors of Glan Clwyd are extremely committed to their positions and provide high standards of care, but they face staffing problems and infrastructure flaws that create a dissonance of communication and efficiency. The progressively growing lack of financial instrumentation available to the hospital is constrained like the rest of the country, but there must be a lot of constriction for the Emergency Department. Measures need to be taken to improve the working conditions of doctors to ensure that patient care can be delivered to an optimal level, and initiatives in the area to increase new employees.

Bullying in the Assembly

First Minister of the Welsh Assembly Carwen Jones has under pressure from AM's referred himself to an independent investigation regarding poor handling of bullying complaints. This is the second time that First Minister Jones has been referred to such an investigation after 2014, but these allegations are being taken very seriously by fellow cabinet member AM Adam Price.

Price claims to be witness to a case where Special Advisers faced negative treatment by officials regarding a meeting in London, and the complaints coming from the situation were ignored by Jones. If these allegations are true it is a terrible representation of Wales and promotes it's leaders in the dullest of lights. This type of energy should be spent on fighting inequalities in healthcare, education, housing and employment in our country, and not for politicians to relive their playground days.

Carwyn Jones to go. I respect the fact he has ran labour in Wales for numerous years but labours welsh policy is so devolved from Corbyns its a shambless.
