Orange is widely eaten by many across the globe because of its refreshing juice and the sweet taste. Health wise, we all know that orange is one of the major source of vitamin-C, but in this post, i will try to enlighten you on the other health benefits of oranges which you probably not aware of till now.

1. PREVENTS SKIN DAMAGE

Orange help to prevent skin damages which may result from exposure to pollution or harsh weather conditions. It helps to straighen wrinkles on the face making your face look younger. Orange also helps to prevent the development of skin rashes and other skin diseases like acne. Orange has the ability to do all this because it contains a very high level of antioxidants like Beta-carotene.

Orange is good for pregnant women because it contains a high amount of folate which is always recommended for pregnant women. Doctors recommend folate because it's vital in the formation of the fetal in the sense that it helps to prevent some complications during birth that might affect the baby's spine and brain after delivery.

5. CONTROLS BLOOD SUGAR LEVEL

Orange is also recommended for diabetes patients because of the natural sugar (Fructose) contained within which is a healthy alternative for the manufactured sugar. Orange is also recommended for diabetes patients because of the presence of three major nutrients contained in oranges which helps regulate blood pressure. They include Flavonoid, Magnesium and Fiber.

Orange is like a store house of nutrients and compounds. I really urge you to consume more oranges.
