In this course of my research, i came to understand that tomato is actually considered both a fruit and a vegetable. I'm sure you probably didn't know that right? One of the best health benefits of tomato is that they improve your heart health, and reduces your chances of developing certain heart diseases like Angina which is a common cause of heart attacks. Tomato is able to improve your heart health because they contain an antioxidant known as lycopene which makes them red in colour.

2. TOMATO IMPROVES YOUR VISION.

The lycopene content in tomato is also responsible for improving your eyesight. It helps reduce the risk of developing common eye related problems like cataracts and macular degeneration. Tomato improves your vision not just because they contain lycopene but because they also contain other nutrients such as lutein and beta-carotene.

3. TOMATO IMPROVES SKIN HEALTH.

In a recent study by the US National Library of Medicine and National Institute of Health, it was concluded that the Lycopene in tomato helps inprove skin health by guarding against skin diseases like rashes and from harsh weather conditions. 4. IT HELPS REDUCE THE RISK OF CANCER.

Tomato is often included in the list of anti-cancer fighting diets and this is because of the fact that tomato can work as a vegetable and at the same time work as a fruit as well. It is not often guaranteed that eating tomato will cure your cancer but eating at least 4 or 5 piece of fruits a day like tomato will help to prevent the risk of developing certain types of cancer.

5. TOMATO IS GOOD FOR YOUR BONES.

Tomato is very good for a healthy and strong bones. This is because tomato is very rich in calcium and vitamin-K which helps prevent common bone related problems auch as osteoporosis and osteopenia. Tomato is also good fot your teeth because they help make your jaw bone strong.
