Shun discouragement

Professionally, you've heard it time and again that the way out of failure and poverty is hard work and industry.

Frankly speaking, the most hard working people are from Nigeria, also, people who pursue education with all zealousness are from Nigeria.

Regrettably, it is this same set of people who cannot truly boast of a remarkable accomplishments for their hard work and industry.

The story of Peter comes to book. Peter means the rock, he was named as one of the most successful fishermen in history. Guess what?

Despite the fact that he understood the rules of fishing, we were made to understand that he toiled all nights trying to caught fishes, applied all the rules and strategies guiding the system, yet he couldn't caught even one.

Humanly speaking, he must have been very tired, frustrated and worn out, his strength and energy must have been reduced, and his excessive love for fishing will start to minimize or diminish gradually.

No doubt, you must have been in the same boat with Peter one time or the other.

The projection here is to provide a more visible and working definition for discouragement from the story narrated shortly in addition to drawing out peculiar lessons that will put you on track again.

Discouragement in simple term means signing out of a business as a result of low output. It also means giving up due to lack of results.

Hear me, the way to the top is never rosy neither is it smooth. In your quest to becoming a raving success in the things you do, you must bear in mind that discouragement can never be out of sight. Your submission to it will determine if you will last long in the business or become forgotten.

Discouragement is only a bait that must not be given a chance, at some point, the thought of giving up will constantly surface, people around you might even be another negative initiator or counselor from allowing you to press on.

Listen, you are the only one permitted to see your future through the pages of scriptures, therefore, your success and fulfilment in business and other endeavors lies only in your hands. Other people are partially supporting pillars for the expansion of it.

Discouragement could also be seen as a test of faith for where your glory and breakthrough rests. On no condition should you bury that dream, idea, vision, ambition and aspiration. Trust me, I am conscious of the fact that your expectation is high, your planning is great and your thought is heavily loaded with possibilities.

Just as it is nurtured and programmed in your mind, that's how realistically it will become in as much as you won't leverage on what discouragements has caused you in times past or recent times.

Friend, intensify your effort on what you do, shut your ears against people who never encouraged you, never believe what you do won't announce you to your world, and be a rugged, dogged and pertinacious encourager and motivator of yourself.

Note: Discouragement hasn't come to stay, it has only come to see how strong and persistent you are in times of trials and tribulations. Therefore, prove it wrong by shunning it, thus embrace encouragement from your yourself and perhaps your inner circle.
