RAGS (Rape, Abject poverty, Greed, Streetlife)-tales of woe part1

'SUSAN JACOBS! Get down here this instant!! How could you take some money from your father's briefcase to buy an iPhone 8?'
'Urgggh mum, that's not even the latest and you know I had to. As the leader of my gang, I have to be the first to get the iPhone and as you also know, Sabrina's father will get it for her latest next week'.
'But you have the Samsung J7 and the previous iPhone i got for you a month ago'
'Precisely the point, mother. That's the longest time I've used a phone and as you've always told me "the end justifies the means" moreover a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to get what she wants'
'True dear! At least you get all what I've been telling you. It's the national cake, (both in unison- you eat as much as you can and even take away)'
'Not to worry dear, your father, the one and only Chief Jacobs will find a way to cover that up as always. Just slay on dear as will I, Chief Mrs. Francesca Jacobs'.
'Olajumoke, we all know your name is anything but Francesca but then you always upgrade'
'You know me too well my darling '
'True. Oh and on a completely unrelated matter, I'm tired of the United Kingdom, I want to meet up with my friends in Canada immediately after high school'
'Canada is very affordable my dear and for the kind of people we are, maybe a little too cheap don't you think?'
'I know, mother, but I'd really like to go there '
'Alright dear. I'll try to convince your father. You know how much he detests cheap things'
'Where are we going to this year for summer? If not because you called me for your "important discussion " which eventually turned out to be a waste of my precious time, I would be in Abu Dhabi by now or even Cayman Islands '
'I was thinking our private island and...'
'No mother. And if you insist, then I won't be jetting out with you, that's it. Oh and I'll be in my room well that is until Sabrina calls'.

Okay, so there you have it. I wrote this about a year ago for a competition that I did not eventually put in for. I want to know what you think. Yep, it's kinda like a short play and it's completely unedited. Also, i may not have checked out some facts but I promise it won't affect the story. So, I'll be posting it in bits since it's kind of hard to type it all at once and bulky too. so enjoy!!😙
