The CEO of Binance made the announcement with this tweet:

“Binance will partner with Crypto savannah, @AggieKonde, and @HelenHaiyu to support Uganda’s economic transformation and youth employment through blockchain, embracing the 4th industrial revolution. We will do this by creating thousands of jobs and bringing investments to Uganda.” Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance.

A tweet by Crypto savannah says:

“Binance Founder meets Blockchain Association of Uganda in an open meeting to discuss collaboration @BitcoinAfricaio @BitcoinKE @coindesk @KwameRugunda @noryo @suleug @blockchainug @cz_binance @binance.”

There are also many Blockchain Associations across West and South Africa notably in countries like Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. This will probably be a great opportunity for these associations to extend this partnership to their respective Countries and across Africa as a whole.

Furthermore, Africa is made up under developed Countries where financial institutions are limited in some areas and in some cases, people travel miles to access the services of financial institutions. Also, there are many Africans working abroad that find it very difficult to send money to their families in Africa. Therefore, bringing Binance to Africa will go a long way to solve these problems as well as promote Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain projects across Africa.

Binance coming to Africa will provide employment to Africans as the company will need to hire some workers especially those who know the terrain of operation very well. This will boost Economic growth in the country.

Moreover, considering that Binance will be the first Cryptocurrency exchange to extend its company in Africa, the large population of Africa may serves as a large market since there will be no competition with other Exchanges providing similar services.

Whatever the case, this partnership will be beneficial to both parties but more interestingly, it will lead to a growth in the adoption of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology in Africa.
